TS-Optics hyperboloid Astrograph with 200 mm Aperture and f/3.2:
These astrograph Telescopes have been perfectly designed to the high demands of modern astrophotography.
Due to the extremely fast focal ratio of f/3.2, you can take very detailed shots of deep-sky objects in just one night, using high magnification at the same time thanks to the large 8" aperture.
Unlike standard Newtonians with a parabolic mirror and a Coma Corrector, these Hypergraphs have a hyperbolic primary mirror and an specially designed corrector built into the focuser.
The advantages and features of the TS Hypergraphs at a glance:
- Specially designed optics which are optimised for astrophotography, with excellent high resolution over the entire useable image field.
- Carbon tube for a significantly better focus stability than with a metal tube. Refocusing after temperature changes no longer required and the images appear much sharper.
- Despite the extremely fast focal ratio the telescope is easy to collimate and it keeps collimation well even during transport.
- Uses built in micro-focusing which is necessary at a focal ratio of this speed.
- High-quality CNC tube rings and a GP/Q5 dovetail bar are included
- Carry handle with support for a finder shoe.
- Easy camera connection via the M48 x 0.75 connection thread on the focuser. The working distance is 55 mm.
When dealing with such high resolution and fast optics, a threaded connection on the camera is necessary to prevent tilting and unsharp stars.
The 3" R&P focuser has a female M63 x 0.75 thread and a male M48 x 0.75 thread. The working distance from this thread is perfectly ranged at 55 mm. This matches the distance which a DSLR camera and the matching T-adapter will need. Even modern astro cameras, such as Explore Scientific & ZWO, are already supplied with an M48 adapter kit which matches this distance.
Individual Testing of each Hypergraph Telescope:
The hypergraphs must undergo a complete optimization and check at Teleskop-Service Germany before delivery. These steps include:
- Removal of the main mirror cell and tightening of all screws, as they are usually loose.
- Optimizing the fit of the main mirror in the cell - not too tight and not too loose.
- Cleaning the main mirror and the inside of the tube.
- Checking and optimization of the focuser
- Collimation of the whole system and check of the collimation stability
- Quality control checks on the manufacture of the telescope.
