This x2 Barlow lens doubles the magnification of your telescope with minimal loss of quality. Due to the large lens diameter, you can also use long focal length eyepieces such as the TS Super Plössl 32 mm without having to worry about vignetting.
Due to the multi-coated lenses and blackened lens edges, the x2 Barlow from TS Optics has extremely good image quality.
There are 2 ways to use this Barlow:
- (x2 Power) - Just plug the eyepiece into the Barlow and they have a doubling effect of the magnification.
- (x1.5 Power) - Screw the Barlow element directly into the filter thread of your 1.25" eyepiece and the extension factor will be shortened to x1.5.
Thanks to the integrated T2 thread, you can also screw the Barlow directly onto a T2 ring. The extension factor here is about x2.5. With the Barlow you can also connect your DSLR camera to smaller entry-level telescopes and focus it without any problems.
The Barlow shifts the focus further outwards, so in the case of entry-level Newtonian telescopes with 76 mm, 114 mm or 130 mm aperture, the Barlow is often the only way to photograph with a DSLR camera. Of course, it works well with all other telescopes also.
