Good tube clamps are crucial for the success of astro-imaging. These TS tube clamps are solidly made from aluminium however they are not excessively heavy. The clamps accept compact telescopes from 49mm to 75mm tube diameters. This means that all viewfinder telescopes and guide telescopes with 50mm and 60mm aperture can be used.
The 6 ring clamping screws also contain nylon tips so you don't scratch or damage the scope while its in place.
The versatile dovetail rail is included and it fixes the clamps at the optimal separation apart - The distance of the clamps is also adjustable. The rail fits directly into all mounts with an EQ5-level (Vixen type) quick coupling. In addition, the rail at the base offers two 1/4" internal threads and a 3/8" internal thread and so makes it possible to connect ball heads and tilt heads as well as to photo tripods.
