For many years Bresser Newtonian telescopes have become the standard workhorse for Deep Sky astrophotography, now the second generation of this telescope, the Bresser NT-203s/800 comes with an improved Hexafoc focusser and fast parabolic main mirror.
The Bresser NT-203s/800 f3.9 will deliver you much more detailed images at shorter exposures due to its oversized primary mirror and therefore faster optical system (f3.9, compared to standard f5 telescopes of this size). The large 85 mm secondary mirror also helps reduce vignetting for maximum optimal illumination of the target. The excellent 2,5" Hexafoc focuser also helps reduce vignetting due to its large diameter and makes focussing a joy - the smoothness and shifting-free operation sets a new standard in this price class.
BRESSER EXOS-2 GoTo Equatorial Mount: This German Equatorial Mount has tracking motors in both axes that follow celestial objects very smoothly and precisely. The hand controller with full GOTO abilities works reliably and is very user friendly - See Manual download below. Precision ball bearings in both axes help ensure minimal backlash at all nine possible tracking speeds and the 12V battery pack is conveniently fastened to the tripod shelf and takes eight size D batteries. The mount can also be powered using a mains or car plug adapter (sold seperately)
EXOS-2 GOTO System: The Startracker GoTo System enables beginners with little experience to start astronomical observations in just a few minutes, and guides you to various objects in the nigt sky that are not visible through the small finder scope. At the push of a button you can locate Planets, Nebulae or Galaxies in minutes. The database on the Startracker system holds thousands of celestial objects to choose from. The Bresser StarTracker GoTo systems also uses servo motors for both axes and features an ST-4 compatible autoguiding input - essential for long exposure Astrophotography. The menu and navigation of the Startracker hand controller is also multilingual and offers a choice of German, English, French, Spanish and Italian.
