This reducer ring is ideal for reducing your adapter from M48 to T2 or vice versa. The male thread of the adapter is M48 x 0.75 which is also the thread of most 2" colour and nebula filters. This is a very short adapter is ideal for astrophotography with only a 2.5mm optical path.
Just a few useful applications for this adapter:
- As an extension of male T2-threads to male M48 threads so you can attach M48 accessories to T2.
- As a reduction of female M48 threads to female T2 threads - for example you can attach adapter, micro-focusers, extensions, etc. which have a 2" filter thread (M48x0.75 female) at the telescope side, to a T2 system.
- You can also use it for attaching 2" filters to T2 connections. You can screw the adapter into the female M48 thread of the 2" filter cell or filter drawer (if used) and then have a T2 connector.
