AstroSolar® Safety Film 5.0 is designed for solar observation and photography at high magnification. These sheets are designed to be customised to the specific size of your Telescope or DSLR Camera lens. Just measure the outside of your optics and cut the film to the correct size and create a suitable mount for the solar film.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure there is absolutely no gaps or ways for direct sunlight to enter the lens of the telescope or camera. This Solar film is safe for visual solar observation (with additional optics) and imaging. This highest precision film consistently produces strehl ratios of 94% to 96% at interferometric tests – therefore it performs optically like a Fluorite Triplet Lens such as the Carl Zeiss or Astro Physics designs.
AstroSolar Safety Film is best suited for precision work with all astronomical telescopes and binoculars – just as well as for all photographic cameras and tele-lenses.
Already on the market for more than 25 years already, this is the only film-material designed not to deteriorate the optical waveforms, allowing high magnification with any long-range optics without reducing the sharpness or contrast of the solar view/image.
