The Explore Scientific Ha filter is specifically designed for photographing emission nebulae. These objects glow in certain colors, the so-called emission lines. The emission lines are associated with certain chemical elements - and in this case its Hydrogen Alpha.
The Explore Scientific Ha nebula filter blocks all other colors from the light spectrum (and therefore almost all other types of artificial light) and lets only the emission lines of Ha through.
All Explore Scientific nebula filters come with an individual test report - so you can be sure to get high quality filters.
