This very fast f/4 R200SS is equipped with a parabolic primary mirror and delivers extremely sharp images without chromatic aberration. A special coating (state-of-the-art technology) provides a particularly optimal surface for both observing and photographing deep-sky objects .
Vixen has developed a unique aluminum vacuum evaporation system that produces extremely precise mirror surfaces. This revolutionary Vixen system allows for more precision during the controlled coating of the primary mirror.
Due to the large aperture and the short focal length, the R200SS telescope is ideal for the photography of deep space Nebulae, Star clusters and even Comets.
The use of an optional coma corrector (sold separately) is also available to enable sharp stars right into the corners of the frame. The focuser has a 60mm thread for a 60mm
adapter which in turn allows for a wide range of applications.
