The Bresser Messier AR-102/1000 Refractor telescope is designed for both ambitious beginners and advanced observers alike, especially if your preference is viewing the Moon and Planets.

Refractor telescopes are generally known to offer some of the sharpest views of the planets as they use glass lenses with no central obstructions. For planetary viewing, focal length is extremely important and at 1000mm focal length, this telescope is designed for higher magnifications, to allow you to get even closer to some of the gas giants in our Solar System such as Jupiter and Saturn. Views of the moon at this focal length are of course spectacular also and the sturdy EXOS 2 mount offers plenty of stability to keep everything in check at these higher magnifications.

The Mount:
The EXOS-2 German Equatorial Mount is a long established, intermediate level mount designed to offer a sturdy platform for equipment weighing up to 13kg. While this is the non-computerised version of the mount, a conversion kit is available separately to upgrade it to provide full electronic tracking and GOTO functions also - Essential for long exposure Astrophotography
