The SkyPortal Link WLAN module enables wireless control of almost any Celestron GOTO telescope using the optional iPhone/iPad app “SkyPortal” or via a Windows PC using the optional NexRemote software and the freely available from Celestron.com here. In this app (a complete planetarium program), you can simply tap an observing target on the star map or in a list, and the telescope will automatically move to it. Alternatively, the telescope can be operated via SkyPortal without a hand controller, even the Star alignment process is possible via SkyPortal.

You can also access your SkyPortal adapter with the Celestron SkyPortal software. SkyPortal is a full-featured planetarium program: Point your smartphone at the sky, and you'll see the objects you've set up on the map, or search for an object, and it will guide you there.

After SkyPortal has connected to your telescope via the WiFi module and the alignment has been completed, you can conveniently control the Telescope via your smartphone as usual.

The software is based on SkySafari and is available for free for iOS (in the App Store) and Android (in the Play Store). Versions of SkySafari 4.x with telescope control now also support the SkyPortal adapter.
