The CPC 800 HD Deluxe is the portable fork-mounted top-class telescope from Celestron and features the StarBright XLT coating. The telescope is perfect for visual observations and, with an optional polar wedge and an astro camera, also enables professional astrophotography.

New Optical Design:
EdgeHD (Edge High Definition) optics combine the compact design of a Schmidt-Cassegrain with significantly improved image quality at the edge of the image. This optical system not only offers astrograph characteristics, but also produces completely undistorted, sharp images right up to the edge of the large visual and photographic field of view. This not only corrects off-axis coma—as with other so-called "coma-free" optical designs available on the market—but also field curvature! All EdgeHD telescopes deliver a large, flat field of view, enabling sharp star images even at the edge of large CCD sensors.

Built-in GPS:
The CPC Deluxe HD telescopes feature a built-in GPS sensor that automatically receives the date, time, and your exact location from the GPS satellites. This eliminates the need to manually enter this data.

SkyAlign:
This is Celestron's incredibly easy alignment process for perfect GoTo positioning. The telescope no longer requires a defined home position: Simply align three bright stars (planets and the moon are also possible) one after the other in the telescope's field of view, and voilà! Your CPC telescope is ready for automatic GoTo positioning to any object from the hand control's database.

SkyAlign calculates your telescope's alignment based on the trajectories of the three stars and the corresponding angles. SkyAlign retrieves the other required data (date, time, and location coordinates) via the integrated 16-channel GPS receiver.

" SkyAlign " only works in azimuthal mode, i.e., when the telescope is operated directly on the tripod without a polar wedge. Celestron also offers several new and simplified alignment methods for equatorial operation in the CPC series.

Comprehensive Database:
The CPC telescope database contains over 40,000 celestial objects, including the Messier and Caldwell catalogs, as well as galaxies and nebulae from the NGC catalog and planets. You can narrow down your search to simplify your search in this comprehensive database and hide objects that are currently below the horizon.

The "Identify" function tells you what you're currently seeing in the telescope, and it also lets you easily explore the sky. Simply point the telescope at any area of the sky and, for example, display the nearest Messier objects—the telescope will move to them for you. You can do this in different areas of the sky and with different objects!

With "Solar Sys Align" you can align the telescope using the sun or moon even during the day to observe the planets or the brightest stars in the daytime sky.

Hyperstar Compatible: All EdgeHD tubes allow you to remove and replace the secondary mirror. The result: With the optional HyperStar optics, your standard Celestron EdgeHD telescope becomes a digital Schmidt Design for your CCD or DSLR camera for primary focus photography.

Innovative features of the Mount:

Design - For the CPC Deluxe HD telescopes, Celestron has redesigned the drive mechanism. It features a 15 cm (6 inch) brass gear with 180 teeth and a stainless steel worm gear, as well as a unique steel and nylon ball bearing design for even smoother tracking for long-exposure deep-sky imaging.

Innovation - The CPC Deluxe HD telescopes feature the innovative All-Star™ Polar Alignment . When used with the optional polar wedge, you can align the telescope to any bright star in equatorial mode—no need to look at Polaris! Astrophotographers will also appreciate the Permanent Periodic Error Correction (PEC) feature. You can record the helical error so it's automatically corrected in the future.

Power Management - The redesigned electronics supply the motors with constantly regulated voltage, allowing them to move the telescope even when it's not fully balanced. This maintains smooth operation and high GoTo accuracy.

Performance - You can track objects far beyond the meridian, allowing you to observe the most interesting part of the sky without interruption.
Avoid electronic damage – remember to use the right power supply!
