This lightweight 5" Newtonian is the ideal entry-level telescope for demanding newcomers to the exciting field of Astronomy. It delivers bright and sharp images thanks to the high light gathering ability, at an excellent price-to-performance ratio.
Not only is it great for the moon and planets, but you can also use it to observe other objects such as star clusters, nebulae or brighter galaxies. You will be particularly amazed when you see the lunar surface with its many craters, and under the right seeing conditions you can see the rings of Saturn. The Orion Nebula and the Andromeda Galaxy are also a great experience under the sky with this telescope.
The T2 connection to the focuser allows the connection of a DSLR camera, in conjunction with an optional T2 ring.
The Vixen dovetail slide rail also allows quick mounting even on many third-party mounts.
The focuser is designed for 31.7mm plug-in diameter and therefore offers you a countless range of accessory options to expand your telescope abilities.
The Porta II mount is not only very popular with beginners, but also offers experienced astronomers the opportunity to mount their devices quickly and easily and has fine adjustment in both axes.
The Porta II does not require clamping, it has a slip clutch, which makes it easy to adjust the mount to an object. It automatically holds your position and is therefore very easy to use for everyone.
