The TS2600CP is the latest generation of color astro camera technology.
This camera uses the powerful Sony IMX571 sensor and enables astrophotography at a very high level indeed.

This cooled CMOS sensor no longer has any amp glow and can be used for all areas of astrophotography. Due to the high resolution of the sensor, fine details are displayed even at much shorter focal lengths.

Another advantage is the sensational light sensitivity. The QE of 80% through the 'Back illumination' technology enables deep sky astrophotography with very short exposure times. 

The "single-shot" color camera offers more convenience than monochrome cameras and allow you to get beautiful shots without having to constantly change filters. Compared to a DSLR camera though, this color camera has considerably higher light sensitivity, and produces a smoother image and significantly more depth. Stars don't burn out so quickly either, thanks to it being 16bit.

Back-Illumination Technology:
Sony's rear-exposed CMOS image sensor improves sensitivity and noise reduction – a key factor in improving image quality – it works by shifting the basic pixel structure from front to back exposure. Back exposed sensors improve light capture which enables significantly shorter exposure times and leads to an improved quantum efficiency of 80%.

No amplifier glow:
Conventional CMOS sensors produce a weak infrared light source during operation, which is often seen in the corners of uncalibrated images as signs of the "glow of the amplifier". Since this camera's sensor uses a zero-amp glow circuit, you don't have to worry about the "amp-glow" even when using highly amplified, long-exposed images.
